USELESS
REV. PATS
DEVOTIONAL
Have you ever felt useless and ask God why am I here?
Don't feel badly about those feelings, Jesus also felt that way
as well. He said it best when on the cross he said
"my God my God why
have you forsaken me"
Matthew 27:46 And
about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli,
Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast
thou forsaken me?
Yes, I know Jesus was on the cross but he felt alone and
wondered what his mission was and whether it had been
accomplished.
How many times, have we said God where are you? Or God why am I
here? Jesus has the perfect answer to that question.
Hebrews 13:5
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content
with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never
leave thee, nor forsake thee.
No matter what we are doing, what our health is, or whether we
face bankruptcy, or we are millionaires, Jesus is always with us
and he will never be away from us.
I remember going through brain tumor surgery several years ago,
it wasn't easy but I knew God had a plan for my life. I did
question God, where are you why are you not helping and healing
me, but then I realized that I was feeling sorry for myself,
then the Holy Spirit began to encourage me through my wife and
others that God will open other doors.
Let me tell you he has. Our ministry now is worldwide and we
are really blessed by God. Yes, in my humaness, I still
sometimes feel God where are you but that is when the Holy
Spirit gently reminds me that he is here and that God has
everything under control and that I should leave it in his
hands.
How about you? How do you feel? God has not left you here to
fend for yourself, but he has left you with a comforter. The
Holy Spirit. If you are feeling alone a have doubts begin to
call on God and he will deliver you. Why don't you call on him
now.
If
you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything
