A CRY FOR HELP

From Moses Jackson

(A note from Shoshana) As you know, on our website, we minister to prisoners as well as people who are sick, disabled, and shut-in. Through this ministry, we have started corresponding with prisoners all over the country. We correspond with  them on a regular basis and they have an influence on others.

My heart has really been touched for them. Some of them are innocent—others are not, but it really doesn’t matter. They need love and understanding and ministry, and of course this is part of the commission that Jesus gave us.

Before we became familiar with the prison system, we thought that all their needs were provided for, but this was an erroneous assumption. They work in prison and receive on the average of 25 cents an hour. They have to buy all but the barest essentials and, unless they have help from family and friends, cannot even afford stamps—or warm winter clothes. Most of them have been abandoned by friends and family. And this week, I found out that many of them actually have to BUY their medications unless it is something that is life threatening.

One of the prisoners we are writing to, Moses Jackson, is unique and is especially on my heart. He fully admits that he was guilty. He was ministered to in prison and received Jesus and has gotten involved with the prison ministry their. He preaches under the covering of his chaplain and pastor. He also ministers in music. He has recently sent us tapes of his messages and written out his testimony (which I am in the process of typing) and gives us permission to use them freely on our website to minister--not just to other prisoners---but to everyone. He actually has a burden and an anointing to help marriages and also to help men and women to be all that God created them to be.

Dear friends, this man is really anointed and we feel a special burden for him. He prays for us and for you every day and has his congregation pray for you and us too. (Don’t worry, they don’t have your address or phone number…lol).

Recently, he sent this letter which I want to pass along to you. I’d like to ask you to prayerfully consider giving an offering for him and his ministry. I of course respect and trust whatever decision you make and I know that God will lead you. There is no pressure on anyone to give.

We have been sending a small amount of money to each of the prisoners, but we are very limited in what we can send and they need so much more.

Donations for Moses should be made out to Olive Tree Ministries but also somewhere on the check or Money order say: For Moses Jackson.

CRY FOR HELP

Matthew 25:34 and 1 John 3:16-18

Praise the Lord, church Beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God for you, all who read this letter.

I met two wonderful and beautiful people; God sent to me Rabbi Allen and Shoshana Kurzweil. As you know, they have a blessed and anointed ministry on the internet that reaches thousands of people. God has also blessed me with the opportunity to minister to His people and countless others on the internet through Rabbi Allen and Shoshana. I thank God for them who God has raised up through relationship to glorify Him and reach others through the ministry of reconciliation.

God has really been raising me up from inside of prison to reach many people around the world. And, God has given me the opportunity to minister to you through my testimony and messages. I pray that what you hear you will receive and grow in God’s Grace to become what He desires you to be.

But, now I cry out to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for financial help. Rabbi Allen and Shoshana can only do a little because of the countless others they minister to. So, I can only turn to you, my brothers and sisters in the Lord, that you would extend your hand of love my way to help me out as I help others.

Winter is on the way and I am in need of footwear, hygiene products, a thermos, hats, gloves, and other articles of clothing. There are also others here who God has commended to my care who are in need and my heart goes out to them. I would like to bless them as God blesses me. So, I ask that as you read this letter and God moves on your heart, that you would send a love offering in the mail by money order or check to Olive Tree Ministries, P.O. Box 17333, Plantation Florida 33318 and they will make sure that I receive what you send. Make sure that you indicate that it’s for Moses Jackson and his ministry--but don't make it payable to me. Make the money order or check payable to Olive Tree Ministries since they are approved to send me money. I am also in need of stamps---as many as you can spare---so that I may continue to send letters and tapes and other materials to Rabbi Allen and Shoshana. Through their ministry, I can minister to people around the world—not just those in prison, but everyone.

I thank you for your kindness and concern. God will honor and reward your faithfulness. (Psalm 41:1-3 and Galatians 6:9-10). It would really bless me if you could start sending your love offering in the Month of September 2006 because Fall and Winter are right around the corner. I would like to be prepared for this.

May God’s grace shine upon you and may His presence be rooted in your heart and home. Thank you for hearing my cry and responding in Love. Blessed be the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and God the Father who presides and rules over all. Amen. (John 13:34-35).

Blessings,

Minister Moses Jackson
