2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and
pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I
hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
This scripture is familiar to most of us and it is so simple in it's
meaning: If America blesses God, God will bless America. Right
now, it seems like we're not doing a very good job. We've taken God out
of the schools, the courts, television, and much more. We can no longer
say we are "one nation under God".
But here's some good news: Within
the "we the people" of America, there exists a strong presence of
"we the people of God", and no matter what the rest of
America does, if GOD'S people, who are called by His name will humble
ourselves, seek Him fervently, turn from OUR wicked ways---and pray,
pray, pray---God will hear us, forgive us, and heal our whole
land. Just because of us.
So, instead of lamenting over what the ungodly are doing (those who are
not yet His people) let's take the responsibility and do what God has
commanded us!. Then everyone will benefit and America will
continue to prosper.
We need to practice this at home, at work, at play, and we need to
practice it in the House of God. God's people, who are
called by His name should WANT to be in the House of God. There is
such strength in corporate prayer and worship. And more than ever, we
need to be under Godly leadership.
You will
find all of that at A PLACE CALLED HOPE. But if you are in another area
or belong to another church, make sure you go there to attend services
this Sunday, if you are able to. For those of you who are unable
to go out, there are live Broadcasts on the web. We will have our own
soon, but for now, try
www.tbn.org and check their broadcast schedule.
Celebrate you Freedom and Independence by declaring your Dependence on
the Almighty God, Who has seen fit to make us His children by a
wonderful act of love and sacrifice.
LET'S
REALLY BLESS GOD THIS YEAR!
15 Now mine eyes shall be open,
and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For
now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there
for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
