cant
take it anymore
by Rhonda Souder
Written to a lady overwhelmed with pain.
I'm so glad you wrote and told us of your
needs. I pray & hope God will allow us to
help bear your load somehow. When I read
your story several days ago I was
overwhelmed like one of Job's friends. All I
could do was be silent and shut my mouth.
What would we do if the book of Job was NOT
in the bible? To continue to trust God amid
a downward spiral of pain & suffering is a
MIRACLE! I was thinking that to survive all
you've been through is like finding a body
still breathing under a ton of rubble
following a disaster---a miracle.
I wish you didn't have to suffer so much
pain and loneliness. I wish none of us had
to. But we will keep crying out to Jesus, to
the Father who made us and knows the WHY's
about everything.
One thing I like to do when it is unbearable
is to think about the FACT & TRUTH that I
belong to God and there is nothing the devil
can do to take me away from God. I am
praying.
ROMANS 8: 28 - 39 (from the New American
Bible)
"We know that all things work for good for
those who love God, who are called according
to his purpose. For those he foreknew he
also predestined to be conformed to the
image of his Son, so that he might be the
firstborn among many brothers. And those he
predestined he also called; and those he
called he also justified; and those he
justified he also glorified. What then shall
we say to this? If God is for us, who can be
against us? He who did not spare his own Son
but handed him over for us all, how will he
not also give us everything else along with
him? Who will bring a charge against God's
chosen ones? It is God who acquits us. Who
will condemn? It is Christ (Jesus) who died,
rather, was raised, who also is at the right
hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.
What will separate us from the love of
Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or
persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or
peril, or the sword? As it is written: "For
your sake we are being slain all the day; we
are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered."
No, in all these things we conquer
overwhelmingly through him who loved us. For
I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor present
things, 9 nor future things, nor powers, nor
height, nor depth, 10 nor any other creature
will be able to separate us from the love of
God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
This is
the prayer that Rhonda prayed. If this is
your need, we pray it for you.
Please Lord, Bring ______water when she is
thirsty, give her some sleep, let her feel
you with her, fill her with JOY. Show her
You are there and have been all along. It is
so hard to believe when you are all alone
and suffer relentlessly. We know Satan is a
defeated foe, "and lo his doom is SURE!" as
Martin Luther Penned many years ago. Free
_____ from the Devil's claims to torture her
so. I pray for her body's release of this
long endured agony. May her reward be
greater than she could have ever dreamed.
Give her thoughts of YOU, Help her remember
your Word through the Fog in her mind and
pain in her body. We march around her in
prayer like Joshua marched around Jericho!!
Let _____see Your greatness and let her be
Sure of her reward. Thank You Father that
you are great and are might to save. You are
our treasure and In you is all we need.
In Jesus' name Amen.
