 HOMELESS--NOT HOPELESS by Moses Jackson

 Luke 16:19-25

Hello Friend,

I come to you by the God of our forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and I bring you good tidings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I want to start by saying “you may be homeless, but you’re not hopeless.” Your condition does not determine your destination.

God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross that we may live. True Life is in Jesus (John 14:6). Outside of Jesus, we are dead—separated from God. In Jesus, we have abundant life (John 10:10). Abundant life is not made up of worldly possessions, (Luke 12:13-15). Abundant life is a concrete faithful relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, and God made that relationship with God possible by giving His Son.

This relationship begins with a sincere confession to God that you need Him (Romans 10:9-15). Others may have forgotten you and forsaken you—even your own family—but God will never forget or forsake you. (Isaiah 49:15, Psalm 27:10, Isaiah 41:17 and Hebrews 13:5).

God will never force Himself on you. He created us with free will and you alone can make the choice to follow God. (Deuteronomy 30:19, 2nd Corinthians 6:1-2). When you become a part of the kingdom of God and let God work in you—when He gets finished with you, you will no longer be homeless, but rich in spirit and in truth.

God will begin to do things in your life that  you can’t even imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21). He will place you in a loving and caring church (Acts 2:44-47) . He will also exalt you to high places in this world for HIS GLORY (1 Peter 5:6-7). He will be your everlasting provider (Psalms 37:25-26). God will take away your pain, hurts, and sorrows if you let Him, and He will give you peace through the whole process as He brings you out of the pain and into your destiny. He will make everything in your life work together for your good. (John 14:26-27, Romans 8:28).

God wants to teach you that your real enemy is not flesh and blood but spiritual forces. He will also teach you how to fight these forces—HIS WAY. (Ephesians 6:10-18, 2 Corinthians 10:3-5). You will have a victorious life on earth as our Heavenly Father prepares us all for Heaven. And, when you get there, you will hear the wonderful words “well done, good and faithful Servant; enter into the joy that is prepared for you” (Matthew 25:21).

This is the news that God sent me to tell you: You may be homeless, but you are not without hope. Jesus died for you.

Be blessed,

Your Friend Moses Jackson

Servant of the Most High God.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

What would you do if you had no-where to live? No place for privacy, no place to lie down and sleep in your own bed? What if you had no closet to hang your close in or no kitchen to cook in? What if you had no bathroom to perform even the most basic acts of hygiene?

And what if there was no change on the horizon? As far as you know, this is it?

What if you had no job? No money and no help? And no empathy from others—even from the Body of Christ who are supposed to care?

Homelessness is becoming more common. Being homeless doesn’t mean a person is lazy or uneducated or not willing to work or be responsible.

HOMELESSNESS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE. IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU.

Jesus Himself told us to be concerned about the homeless and to get involved!

Most of us are familiar with this passage of Scripture:

Matthew 25:35

35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?  39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

These verses were the foundation for hopeontheinside.org. I wanted to create a place that ministers directly to these needs--a place where we can minister to one another.

We visit the sick every day on the internet. I can’t come to your houses personally and you can’t come to mine, but through the net, I can visit you and you can visit me. We have a community.

I can’t get out to visit prisoners and very few of you can either, but we ARE doing it through the internet.

And, now I believe that God is leading us to go ahead with the third part of this ministry—to visit the homeless through the internet.

You would think that would be impossible but, believe it or not, there are homeless communities on the internet and I know that God is going to help us to reach out to these dear ones.
