If
you are not healed at the
moment, don't feel like you are
lacking in faith, or that God
has forgotten you. However,
don't ever think that your case
is too hard for God. No matter
how "incurable" you are, no
matter how long you have
suffered, God is able to heal
and even rebuild. I don't think
we should ever let go of that
hope. But, I also do not think
we should put our lives on
"hold" waiting for it to happen.
Just remember that God
specializes in what the world
calls "hopeless cases".
Acts
9:32-34
(AMP)
Now
as Peter went here and there
among them all, he went down
also to the saints who lived at
Lydda.
33There he found a man
named Aeneas, who had been
bedfast for eight years and was
paralyzed.
34And Peter said to him,
Aeneas, Jesus Christ (the
Messiah) [now] makes you whole.
Get up and make your bed! And
immediately [Aeneas] stood up.
The New Testament is filled with
reports of the miracles that
Jesus performed, and these
miracles did not stop with His
death, resurrection, and
ascension to Heaven. His
apostles performed the same
miracles and Jesus Himself
said:
MARK 16:17-18 (NKJ)
17 "And these signs will
follow those who believe: In
My name they will cast out
demons; they will speak with
new tongues; 18 "they will
take up serpents; and if
they drink anything deadly,
it will by no means hurt
them; they will lay hands on
the sick, and they will
recover."
Scripture never says these
signs would disappear from
following believers. We
still have the power to lay
hands on the sick and see
them healed; we have power
to cast out spirits. We have
the same power to say "rise
up and be healed" as Peter
did. This power resides in
the Body of Christ and we
need to use it.
This man had been paralyzed
and bed-ridden for eight
years. In the eyes of the
world, his situation was
hopeless. But in the eyes of
God, this was the ideal
situation for a an amazing
miracle. This was more than
a healing---this was a work
of resurrection power to
restore the muscles and
tissues and bones that had
been as good as DEAD for
eight years. God still does
this TODAY.
You might be thinking right
about now 'well, if this
power is still here today,
how come so many people are
sick and disabled?'. And,
you might get many different
answers to that question.
Here is my answer: I DON'T
KNOW.
I myself have been healed of
paralysis and various other
serious ailments, and yet I,
like you, am at the present
time confined to my house. I
am not yet totally
healed.
THAT DOESN'T CHANGE THE
TRUTH AND PRESENT DAY
REALITY OF GOD'S HEALING AND
RESTORATION POWER.
God not only heals today, He
rebuilds, He resurrects. God
gives the ULTIMATE EXTREME
MAKEOVER.
But, while you and I are
waiting for our Extreme
Makeover God Edition, lets
do everything we can to be
close to God---to serve Him
and love Him---to show the
devil how stupid he is to
think he can come between us
and God or stop us from
doing great damaged to the
kingdom of darkness.
Let's turn what Satan meant
for evil into a great
testimony to God's power,
whether that power is shown
through miraculous healing
or by remaining steadfast in
our faith, whatever our
situation.

inhabitants of Lydda and the
plain of Sharon saw [what had
happened to] him and they turned
to the Lord. |
