We are in a time and season of history spoken of
in the Bible—nation is rising up against nation and kingdom against
Kingdom. The Kingdom of God has warriors who have the spiritual
authority to affect what is going on in the world. All through Bible
times, when enemies came against God’s people, God had them do something
in obedience and then GOD HIMSELF confused the enemy and the enemy turned
on themselves.
Judges 4:14-16
And Deborah said to Barak, Up! For this is the day when
the Lord has given Sisera into your hand. Is not the Lord gone out
before you? So Barak went down from Mount Tabor with 10,000 men
following him. 15And
the Lord confused and terrified Sisera and all his chariot drivers and
all his army before Barak with the sword. And Sisera alighted from his
chariot and fled on foot. 16But
Barak pursued after the chariots and the army to Harosheth-hagoiim, and
all the army of Sisera fell by the sword; not a man was left.
God Himself is giving His children the cry:
"UP! This is the day when the Lord has given the enemy into your hand."
This week,
God spoke it to my heart about what was happening in the world.
Children are
playing with tyrants. World war one was started with much less
provocation. Satan is setting up a scenario for war and the one sure way
to stop it is for God’s children to pray as if they were the only things
between war and peace.
Our country—our globe is being hit with water and fire.
(comment: this is a picture of God’s purification, but the people caught
in it are victims nonetheless and so we need to pray about this)
God’s people will have a refuge even in death but if we don’t pray,
millions of people will perish. We are here to stand in the gap and we
are not yet being vigilant the way God wants us to be.
We who
belong to Jesus are to be world conscious. Every child of God is in a global ministry. We are an
outreach to the nations, every single one of us. The nations and America
need us to stand in the gap.
We have
become too complacent because we know we are children of the King. The
King has called us to the kingdom for such a time as this--to open our
eyes and our ears and be watchmen and prayer warriors. We are called to
pray and intercede as if we were the only thing between war and peace
because, in reality, we are. We have power with God and God wants us to
use it.
We can't turn of the TV and stop
reading the newspapers. We can't shut everything out and pretend nothing
bad is happening.
World war one started because one man, Gavrilo Princip, assassinated the
heir to the Austrian throne, Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28th
of 1914. The antics and rhetoric of “children and tyrants” caused fools
to escalate into a war that killed millions of people. Ultimatums were
given and, instead of reacting in wisdom, leaders reacted in haste and
aggression.
We are hearing similar words around the globe RIGHT NOW. We must pray
for our president, who is attempting to act wisely, that He will hear
and obey GOD’S wisdom and that he will not be pressured into acting
unwisely. We must pray for our senators and congressmen. They will not
put politics aside, but they can still act in the best interest of our
country and the world if we fast and pray.
This week, the leader
of Japan has been threatening a pre-emptive strike on North Korea. At
the time I am writing this, I don’t know the latest on that, but the
situation is so volatile that we must act quickly in fasting and prayer.
There are those who will say that this is “fear”. It is not. It is
response to a Divine command to intercede and war against the forces
that would drag us into war that does not have to happen now.
God is acting in a
powerful way in His Body.
He is revealing Himself in us and setting us up to be revealed as who we
are. A time of power and great deliverance is about to come to the world
through God’s people. The enemy is attacking and trying to bring war to
the world in order to wipe out the souls who would benefit from this. In
the time of Moses, Pharaoh murdered the boy children to preempt the
deliverance; in the Time of Jesus Herod murdered the boy children
because the Messiah was coming. Before Israel was “born again” as a
nation, Satan used Hitler to wipe out males and females---Jews and
Christians to prevent the fulfillment of prophecy—Israel being reborn
and the Jews being regathered. In past years. there has been
Genocide---ethnic cleansing in many nataions. These atrocities across
the globe have wiped out men, women, and children and have left behind
scarred souls who were twisted into mindsets of hatred and fear. But,
now, even that is not enough. The enemy wants to wipe out nations,
empires, and kingdoms. He wants total destruction.
We have our
marching order: fast,pray, and declare the Word.
Take up the sword of the spirit, yes, but cry out for the souls who
will perish if we don’t humble ourselves before God and make
intercession for them.
Israel
is surrounded by enemies—we know this. Evil is being planned against
Israel and God is calling us to put a spiritual wall of protection
around the nation and the people. As we pray for Israel, we need to
realize that when the enemy can’t destroy the land and it’s occupants,
he will turn in rage on the Jews throughout the world. We must also pray
a wall of protection around them and keep the wall from being destroyed.
This will require constant vigilance—watching, praying, fasting,
speaking.
As the nations are being “wooed into war”,
attack will come at Israel during the distraction. We know in advance
and can thwart the purpose and plans of the enemy.
This is not a word for a time in the distant future. This is a
word for NOW.
WHAT
ARE WE GOING TO DO? WE CAN’T GO OUT AND FIGHT IN THE TRENCHES, CAN WE?
WELL, WE DON’T HAVE TO. We can wage war with the enemy from right where
we are and be more effective than battalions of soldiers.
We can pray, fast (it doesn’t mean we have to go without food) and speak
God’s word. We can agree together as touching these things! Down with
terrorism. The enemy that destroys innocent people will be stopped now.
Israel will be protected.
We can be the spiritual backbone for our soldiers in Iraq. We can cause
the terrorists to turn their weapons on one another instead of on
innocent people. But, we can also pray that their terrorism gets KILLED
by the revelation of Jesus and His love. Let us confuse the REAL
enemy—the spiritual powers of darkness. Let’s take away the power and
authority of the enemy to control these people. LETS ASSAULT THE GATES
OF HELL. THEY WILL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST US IF WE JOIN OUR HEARTS
TOGETHER.
God help us if we don't stand up and use the spiritual authority that
God has given us. What legacy will we leave our children and
grandchildren if we fail to heed the warning?
