Psalm 55:18 He has redeemed my soul
in peace from the battle that was
against me, For there were many
against me.
Jesus
paid the price to give us total
victory.
He was the conqueror so that we can
be more than conquerors. But,
the enemy will do everything in his
power to make us think we are
victims instead of victors.
Also, though the war is won---we
will still have battles and
struggles.
Ephesians 6:12-18 For we do not
wrestle against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this age, against
spiritual hosts of wickedness in the
heavenly places.
The way to win is to watch, pray,
worship, and put on the whole armor
of God!
Ephesians
6:13-18 Therefore take up the whole
armor of God, that you may be able
to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand. Stand
firm then, with the belt of truth
buckled around your waist, with the
breastplate of righteousness in
place, and with your feet fitted
with the readiness that comes from
the gospel of peace. In addition to
all this, take up the shield of
faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil
one. Take the helmet of salvation
and the sword of the Spirit, which
is the word of God.
Eph 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on
all occasions with all kinds of
prayers and requests. With this in
mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the saints.
The most important thing to aim for
in the battle is VICTORY; not a
partial triumph, but complete
destruction of the enemy, so that he
can never come against you again in
the same way.
However, it is wise to understand
that as long as the WAR is still
going on, the enemy will come at you
SOME WAY!
You need to see which way the
enemy is coming and avoid being
ambushed. And, of course, in order
to see the enemy coming, you need to
know what he looks like. Battles are
not always straightforward. The
enemy isn't necessarily wearing a
uniform that says "Hey---here I am
on the devil's team and out to get
you."
The enemy can come as an angel of
light; he can hide in things that
seem 'good' just as easily as he can
attack you through evil temptations.
The only rules he plays by is
'destroying you'.
You might think that this gives him
the advantage, because he can make
his own rules. Nothing could be
farther from the Truth. God has
rules in place that were MADE FOR
YOU TO WIN. If you follow His plan,
there is no contest. In fact, with
God, the battle is already won.
Jesus has gone before us and made
the path clear. We need to follow in
His footsteps.
Start each day with prayer.
Don't even leave your house without
asking Holy Spirit to lead and guide
you---to reveal all of Satan's traps
and show you how to avoid them. Keep
in a spirit of praise and worship
and there will be many battles you
won't even have to fight.
Isaiah 45:2,3 (NKJV)
“ "I will go before you and make
the crooked places straight; I will
break in pieces the gates of bronze
and cut the bars of iron. I will
give you the treasures of darkness
and hidden riches of secret places.
That you may know that I, the Lord,
who call you by your name, am the
God of Israel” |
