I LOVE THE LORD BECAUSE HE HEARS MY CRY

(Psalms 116:1-2 TLB) I love the Lord because he hears my prayers and answers them. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!

There are so many reasons to love the Lord, but this is one of the greatest: He listens, He hears, and He answers. When you go through sorrow, when you experience joy, when you face uncertainty, when your heart is torn---HE IS THERE!

Sometimes, there is no one else to cry out to. The world goes on with its everyday business...even when you are suffering. Friends and family, they love you and they are there for you (or not) but one thing you can know for sure: IF YOU CRY OUT TO GOD, HE HEARS---AND HE ANSWERS.

Consider for a moment what an amazing thing that is. Sometimes, the person sitting right next to you doesn't hear you. Or, if they do, they don't really comprehend what your saying. But, GOD, Who is so powerful and awesome, hears every word and understands.

That alone is amazing, that with all the millions of people crying out to Him, He hears your voice---but the best thing of all is that He cares and He answers. He does whatever it takes to bring you through.

Don't be discouraged if things 'seem' out of control. Sometimes, the worst time is right before the miracle comes. Things get stirred up and the world around you or even inside of you may seem to be spinning, but God is in control and He knows where you are and what you are doing. Trust in Him. Don't lean on your own understanding or emotions. LEAN ON HIM--ON HIS WORD.  IT WILL NEVER LEAD YOU THE WRONG WAY!
 

EVEN IN THE FACE OF DEATH...

(Psa 116:3-6 TLB) Death stared me in the face--I was frightened and sad. Then I cried, "Lord, save me!" How kind he is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours! The Lord protects the simple and the childlike; I was facing death, and then he saved me.
 

YOU CAN REST IN HIM AND TRUST IN HIS DELIVERANCE!

(Psa 116:7-9 TLB) Now I can relax. For the Lord has done this wonderful miracle for me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.  I shall live! Yes, in his presence--here on earth!

HE BRINGS YOU OUT OF DISCOURAGEMENT...

(Psams 116:10-14 TLB) In my discouragement I thought, "They are lying when they say I will recover." But now what can I offer Jehovah for all he has done for me? I will bring him an offering of wine and praise his name for saving me.  I will publicly bring him the sacrifice I vowed I would.

OFFER HIM PRAISE AND PAY YOUR VOWS TO HIM.

(Psa 116:15-18 TLB) His loved ones are very precious to him, and he does not lightly let them die. O Lord, you have freed me from my bonds, and I will serve you forever.  I will worship you and offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving. Here in the courts of the Temple in Jerusalem, before all the people, I will pay everything I vowed to the Lord. Praise the Lord.
 

WE OWE HIM EVERYTHING!
