I want to give a few delicious healthy
ways to use fruit in the blender.
Take unsweetened canned pineapple either in
chunks or break up whole pieces, freeze on a
cookie sheet.
Also, peel banana's and lay whole on a
cookie sheet and freeze. I have used fresh
cantelope as well. Frozen fruit like this
can be used to eat after frozen or in a
blender drink.
A few ideas are:
1. put some frozen banana, pineapple, 1/2
cup or so low fat canned milk ( for
richness) make sure its low fat! add some
soy milk, low fat milk or rice dream....
Rice dream is found in health store/section
replaces milk.
2. Use an unsweetened juice such as
pineapple/apple add frozen berries such as
blueberries, strawberries,
blackberries.......You can get very creative
and this is healthy. I sometimes use a
"protein powder" found in the health section
once again. Blender drinks are fast and very
nutritious. Eating a frozen banana is so
nice for a sweet tooth. IF you are diabetic
only eat half. Make sure all frozen berries
are NO sugar added.
So get blending and get creative!
