MAUREEN'S NUTRITION KORNER 12

Dark chocolate without added sugar is actually good for you. Read the label and be sure it is purchased at a health food store.

Broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower are very helpful for cancer and immune function. Raw, steamed and in a stir fry are very good. Dont overcook vegetables.

Make a broccoli and cauliflower salad and eat raw. When eating vegetables raw you are eating live food. Use a little mayonnaise or a product called Vegenaise, some vinegar and a little sea salt.

Make a habit of undercooking vegetables that are fresh.

Cook up a generous amount of brown rice so you can use for a few days. Top the rice with the vegetables and use light soy sauce or Bragg's liquid amino's.

I recommend organic eggs. A vegetarian omelette is tasty. Start with a little olive oil in pan add whatever vegetable you like.... lightly stir fry on a med/low heat then beat your eggs and put over vegetables. Add a touch of cheese IF you are not allergic. Cook and then but your oven on broil put pan in and just for a moment let the top lightly brown. You can add salsa on top.

So to sum up:

  • dark chocolate
  • increase brocoli, cauliflower and cabbage
  • vegenase ( or mayonaise)
  • organic eggs
  • salsa for the omelette ( please read labels)
  • Less ingredients better.
  • light soy sauce or Bragg's liquid aminos

Happy and healthy eating!
