WISDOM
FROM ANNA GRACE
Faith
by Anna Grace Poschet
Sometimes, when I feel good,
I write. I want to share this with you. As a
disabled person I have a hard time sometimes
finding "works". What you all are doing here
is "good works" "good fruit"
Faith Without Works
Read James 2:17-26—very important that you
now get your Bible and read James 2:17-26.
Verse 26 in the KJV says: For as the body
without the spirit is dead, so faith without
works is dead also.
You’ve probably heard the story of the
unbeliever that was converted and saved in
his car. On the way home from evening
worship that night, God spoke to him. He did
not hear an audible voice but in His spirit
he heard God say, “Go in the store and buy a
gallon of milk.” He had no idea why God had
asked this of him, but so believing he went
into the nearest 7-11 and purchased a gallon
of milk. He thought, “well, ok God, if that
is You telling me to do this, I will obey.
If in case it is not You I still could use a
gallon of milk.” So, on he went toward home,
continuing in prayer and conversation with
His newfound Lord.
While stopped at a red-light he felt this
nudge (in his spirit), to turn Right. That
wasn’t the way to his home, but he continued
following what he felt in his heart. The
road led straight into the drive way of an
old white house. All was dark inside and
out. Almost laughing by this point, the man
realized that he was supposed to get out of
the car in this dark neighbor hood at 10pm,
knock on the door and give whoever answered
the gallon of milk. A little fear dart came
but he quickly did as he knew he was to do.
Jokingly he told the Lord, “if I get shot,
just take me on home.”
Slowly he walked up to the door, the porch
boards were broken and all seemed lifeless,
until he heard the baby crying. He quickly
knocked and heard footsteps coming toward
the door. A petite young woman with a crying
baby in her arms came to the door. The man
told her to take the milk. She turned on the
porch light and opened the screen. With big
tears in her eyes she told the man that she
had been praying for the last two hours that
God will send her baby some food. She had
been sick and could not nurse and there was
no money to buy milk.
I could tell you what I think about that
story but that would spoil your imagination.
So you decide.
The next time you hear or feel that nudge
from God, go with it. Go with Him. I think
this is what He means by “Works.” In Chapter
3 of James verse 13 KJV It says, “who is a
wise man and endued with knowledge among
you? Let him shew out of a good conversation
his works with meekness of wisdom”.
Dear Lord Jesus Thank you for Your Word.
Thank you for showing us miraculous things.
Help us to keep our hearts open and our
spirits in focus to You. Forgive us where we
fail you. Thank You for calling us friends.
Love You. In Your Holy Name I Pray. Amen
If you feel a nudge from God will you
recognize Him?
